Kawasaki’s first fuel-injected 2-stroke single-cylinder engine ushers in a new era of performance. Thanks to fuel injection, fuel delivery remains stable regardless of outside air temperature or atmospheric pressure. Characteristic of a 2-stroke engine’s short firing intervals, the new engine delivers outstanding throttle response and traction at ultra-low rpm—an advantage that shines particularly in cross-country riding. Compared to 4-stroke engines, its lighter weight and simpler maintenance further enhance manageability in every sense of the word.

Featuring a proven KX frame and suspension combined with rider-friendly ergonomics that allow a high degree of rider movement, the chassis delivers both straight-line composure and agile handling. With an optimised rigidity balance and mass centralisation, the frame provides confident cornering performance across a wide range of conditions.

Adopting the look of an athlete, with plastic bodywork featuring less surface area compared to previous KX models, the KX327X emphasizes a compact, tightly sculpted form expressing a functional beauty. Its sleek, purposeful design and instantly recognisable Lime Green colouring clearly identify it as a proud member of the KX family.

Using the switch on the left handlebar, riders can quickly and easily switch between two engine maps provided in the ECU.

Based on the KX450, the frame balances light, agile handling and composed character at a high level. It offers excellent cornering performance across a wide range of conditions, combining composed straight-line behaviour with a strong planted feel at the front. Additionally, the rigidity and layout of the lower pipes were optimized to facilitate navigating obstacles and other situations encountered in cross-country riding.

A hydraulic clutch offers a more direct feel and lighter lever action compared to a conventional clutch. Heat build-up during heavy use in tight technical sections is effectively minimized, helping to maintain consistent clutch play and a precise, stable feel.

Being able to restart an engine quickly after a spill can mean the difference between keeping your lead or having to fight your way back through the pack. Electric start makes restarting the engine as easy as pushing a button.

Race-proven suspension and brakes include a factory-style Ø 48 mm inverted AOS coil-spring front fork and New Uni-Trak rear suspension, offering performance that can be fine-tuned. The Nissin calipers and master cylinders are paired with Ø 270 mm front and Ø 240 mm rear petal discs for confident braking.

A newly developed exhaust valve system is fitted to the main and sub exhaust ports. With modern fuel and ignition mapping and by continuously adjusting the exhaust port timing, the system smooths out the peaky nature typical of old-school 2-stroke engines to deliver uniform drive force across the entire rpm range.

The new 2-stroke engine delivers a linear character with minimal abrupt torque fluctuations from ultralow rpm all the way to the top end thanks to precise fuel and ignition mapping. And with the fuel-injection system’s automatic calibration, there is no longer any need to adjust the jetting to suit changes in altitude or weather conditions.

By using the smartphone application “RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX2” in conjunction with the bike’s GPS, riders can record their riding logs at the track or on the trail. The app also enables real-time engine monitoring and includes maintenance reminders.

The shrouds, side covers, and rear fender are designed to avoid interfering with rider movement, adding the distinctive, sleek impression unique to KX models. The result is styling that highlights the machine’s functional beauty.

A choice of four handlebar positions and two footpeg positions allows riders to tailor their riding position to suit body size and preference.

Smooth bodywork inherited from Kawasaki’s full-size KX models allows effortless rider movement. The angle of the shrouds has been optimised to allow smooth weight transfer, while the well-contoured seat offers excellent grip and supports quick position changes through corners and technical sections, accurately translating the rider’s intentions into machine response.

Medium-compound ODI Lock-On Grips offer excellent grip feel, while their screw-type fastening system greatly facilitates the task of swapping grips.

A simple, lightweight, and functional design physically represents the taut, athletic style of a race machine. While maintaining the bodywork’s essential functions, the surface area was reduced and outlined with Kawasaki’s distinctive aggressive contours to create a clean, tightly composed appearance with no excess.

All plastic bodywork—from the front fender and number plate to the shrouds, side covers, and rear fender—is Lime Green, lending the bike an instantly recognizable KX appearance.

In addition to a large 8.6 L semi-transparent fuel tank that allows the fuel level to be checked from the outside, hand guards, a skid plate, linkage guard, rear brake disc guard, and a convenient side stand are equipped as standard.

The 6-speed transmission covers a wide range of riding conditions, paired with the engine’s strong low-rpm performance, enables effortless progress through rough terrain and over obstacles. 1st-gear was optimized for tight technical sections and facilitates front wheel lift for overcoming obstacles.
