Kawasaki UK announces Motorcycle Live Ninja 400 winner!

Last year, Kawasaki once again partnered with the annual Motorcycle Live show to give one lucky visitor a chance to win a brand-new Ninja 400. With the competition closing in February, Kawasaki is pleased to announce Jason Evans as the winner, collecting his new bike from Drayton Croft over the weekend.

The multiple-choice question saw thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts enter for their chance to win the championship-winning Ninja 400, including first registration fee, 12 months road tax, a number plate and insurance worth up to £250, courtesy of Kawasaki Insurance.

The winner was then picked at random from the correct entries, with Jason Evans being the lucky recipient! Having ridden for 32 years, this will be Jason’s first Kawasaki and he is excited to be joining the Ninja fold this summer. “I still can’t quite believe I was so lucky! I’ve been riding since I was 17 and this is going to be my first time owning a Kawasaki myself – although my wife has a Z650 and my dream bike growing up was a Ninja, so I’ve always been a fan.

I remember entering the competition after visiting the show last year, but I’ll be honest, I really didn’t think I would get lucky. So much so, that I still wasn’t completely convinced when Craig Watson, the Sales & Marketing Manager from Kawasaki first told me I was the lucky winner! It’s incredible to win such a stunning bike and it’s a fantastic addition to my garage.

I’m going to be using it throughout the summer for sure. I’ve got a fair bit of riding planned, including a trip to the Isle of Man TT, MotoGP at Silverstone and hopefully some British and World Superbike races too.”

Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK:
“We had an amazing response to our Motorcycle Live competition, and it was fantastic to offer one lucky winner the chance to get their hands on a new Ninja 400. It’s great that Jason has already started making plans on how he will use the bike, and we look forward to hopefully seeing him at an event later in the year!”

New Kawasaki motorcycle mat now available

Kawasaki riders can now take a step closer to the WorldSBK paddock with the announcement of a new, updated motorcycle floor mat.

Like the mats used by KRT, the official Kawasaki Racing Team, the new mat is ideal for not simply parking your pride and joy on, but it’s also able to handle accidental maintenance spills with an impressive water absorbency rate.

Comprising a rubber type non-slip base topped with a synthetic surface that has a 5mm pile, the sturdy mat proudly displays the Kawasaki brand name plus the black and green colourway of KRT.

Measuring 100cm by 200cm, it’s also washable at 30 degrees to keep the factory appearance of your garage as pin sharp and on point as the Ninja ZX-10RR’s in the pit boxes of Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes.

Available as part of the 2023 Kawasaki Genuine Accessory range, now is the time to show your allegiance and to really pamper that special Kawasaki in your life.

Mitch Evans starts his season in Argentina

Mitch Evans, the newest member of the Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP, starts the next chapter of his career in Green this weekend in the opening round of the FIM MXGP World Championship  at Villa La Angostura, the magnificent track in the shadow of the Patagonian Andes where he recorded his first-ever GP podium in 2019.

Mitch, how do you feel before this opening GP?
I feel really good. I have been training a lot in Belgium and Sardinia, doing a lot more volume compared to how I used to train; it was a different style of training but I feel really good working with the team and a new trainer. Everything is on target; I had a small injury and that’s why I didn’t do any pre-season races but I feel healthy now and had a couple of days back on the bike before flying out here to Argentina. I wouldn’t say that I am 100% yet, but at least I’m fresh for the start of the season and we know that it will be a long one!

We are in Argentina for this first GP; you like this location?
I always love to come back here despite the long travel; it takes longer for me to come here than to go back home to Australia from Europe. I really enjoy the track here; the fans are great, it’s a technical track and I believe that it will be rougher than usual with more riders on-track this weekend. That’s also a bonus; I always love coming back here as it’s not only a beautiful track but also a very nice country. I’m glad we came here one day earlier than in the past; it gives you a little more time to recover from the trip.

You have some great memories here?
I raced my first-ever Grand Prix here and got my first-ever podium that day: that’s really good memories. Usually I’m pretty strong at the beginning of the season and, even after not having so much time on the bike, I’m confident with my speed and my fitness so I’m looking forward to a solid weekend. There’s not so many factory rides in the MXGP class, and one of them was for you at Kawasaki.

How did you join the team?
I have always had a little contact with Antti; it was always a team I kept an eye on and when I heard about the support they give, that was what I was looking for. We started talking to each other and, even though I had some other offers for World Supercross, GPs, America and Australia, I knew that I really wanted to continue racing the MXGPs and I felt KRT was the best place for me.

Did it take time to feel comfortable on the Kawasaki?
There was a lot of different things on the Kawasaki compared to the bike I was used to, but a lot of things that I really enjoyed. We didn’t do so much testing before Christmas but I was comfortable on the bike straight away and when we started intensive testing in January we soon found the best settings to suit me. I feel really confident on the bike now.

You discover new people at the Kawasaki Racing Team, how was it?
I live fifteen minutes from the workshop so I’m there pretty much every day and I’m really happy. That was something I was really looking for, being more involved with the team and having more inter-active support. When you come from Australia you don’t know anybody over here, and you don’t really know what to do, where to go so having that support is really beneficial. It’s the first time in my career that I have such a strong connection with the team members! Every day I go to the workshop I say hello to the guys and can see they are always super-busy and working hard. To see them investing so much time and energy to their job gives me even more appreciation of the work they do. I'm really thankful for everything they do for us. Another good factor is that if I want to try something new on the bike we can have it prepared and test it straight away.

So you’re confident for this new season?
I’m not stressed at all; we’ll just take it race-by-race. I want to focus on taking good starts and racing up-front; Romain got good starts at Hawkstone, and last year we already saw how good the bikes were out of the gate. It's quite funny; last year I purposely never took a gate next to a Kawasaki and now I’m on a Kawasaki!

F&H Kawasaki MX2 Racing Team reveals its new line up

The F&H Kawasaki MX2 Racing Team has revealed its new line up before the opening race of the season in Argentina. The team has had a good off season and is ready to perform in 2023. Kevin Horgmo finished fourth in the world championship MX2 in 2022 and is eager to improve on this result this year. Alongside him is the talented Spaniard David Braceras who moves up from the EMX250 Championship to the MX2 class.

The Grand Prix of Argentina will be held Villa La Angostura, one of the best tracks on the MXGP calendar. Both riders are eager to compete and, for David, it’s the first time that he will race an overseas Grand Prix so for him it will be a great experience.

Kevin Horgmo commented: ‘’The winter preparation went really well. I have enjoyed my time on the bike and we have improved a lot. The pre-season race didn’t really show that but I think that’s what these races are for and I have learnt a lot. Compared to last year I would like to be more consistent and don’t have any silly crashes. I was in a good position many times and let the result slip away. My mission is to improve and be even faster. All the hard work from the winter will pay off during the season. I’m looking forward to Argentina.’’

David Braceras commented: ‘’We did a lot of good training on proper tracks during the winter and I started to feel comfortable on the bike. We have done a lot of work with the bike and the suspension and other aspects are going really well. My goals for the first race in Argentina are see where I am and improve on that in the following races. I’m really enthusiastic to go to Argentina as the people there are also speaking Spanish. The track looks also really nice and I think I will adapt well to the type of sand of the track. It’s really fast and I think it will be a good track for me.’’

Nathalie Fase, Meam Manager added: ‘’F&H Kawasaki MX2 Racing Team will line up this season with two young, strong talented riders in the FIM Motocross MX2 World Championship. Kevin Horgmo who finished fourth in the world championship with us last season looks stronger than ever after a perfect winter preparation and is ready to go for it.  Our new Spanish talented member of the team David Braceras has recovered well from a minor injury earlier this winter period and we are confident that everything will work out with him step by step during the season.

The composition of the team has changed slightly, a lot of familiar faces known for years already in the paddock, but also some new additions have made their entrance within the team which is refreshing! I myself recently became the mother of a sweet little boy, so I will have to coordinate the first races from home, Obviously, that is new to experience, but good preparation is half the work and my partner together with our crew is fortunately taking over many of my tasks on site.

We look back on a good season last year and together with all our sponsors and Kawasaki we are ready to take it even further. The complete F&H Kawasaki MX2 Racing Team is motivated to start the season in a positive way and build from there. Let the good times roll!”

Romain Febvre ready for the opening GP

After two solid pre-season races Romain Febvre and the Kawasaki Racing Team MXGP are ready for the opening round of the FIM MXGP World Motocross Championship in Argentina this weekend.

It has been a busy winter for the Frenchman who underwent surgery straight after the final GP of 2022 to remove a pin in his leg. “The surgeon also took this opportunity to clean the knee so I had to wait until the end of November to get back training physically and later on the bike. For the first time in a while I can run and undertake physical training without pain, and that was great to have a strong winter to prepare the season,” explained Romain, who also decided to have further minor surgery on his forearms in January. “Two years ago I experienced pain in my arms and underwent surgery then last year, when I was back after six months, the pain returned. That’s pretty usual after you don’t ride for a long time, but after intensive training and testing this winter I felt the pain again so I didn’t want to take any risks and had surgery in January. I had to stop riding for a few weeks which is why I didn’t race the Italian International series.”

For the ninth time in his career, Romain will line up in the MXGP class where he won the world title in 2015. He narrowly missed a second title in 2021, his second year with Kawasaki, when the series went to the final moto of the season, and of course it’s his main goal this year to clinch gold again. “It’s impossible to explain what a great feeling it is when you are world champion. Already as a child I was dreaming to get a title at least one time; it was a dream initially but when I finally got it I wanted more. When you take part in any sport, whatever it is, you want to be the best but it’s not easy. Then when you miss it by just a couple of points like in 2021 you look back on the season and you see where you could have got those few more points. And that’s not easy to accept,” he said in analysis. With all his experience he knows how important the mental approach is. “The mental side is a big part of the puzzle! Even if you work hard and are ready for the challenge you know before the start of each race that it’s a tough affair. To be strong mentally can help you to handle the pressure, and that’s something that you must have in you. Either you have it or you don’t; you can’t invent it.”

The pre-season races were pretty good for Romain, who achieved several podium results, but now it’s time to line up for the first GPs against even stronger opposition. “I’m nearly at 100% now, and the season will be really long. I love that track in Argentina, and the goal will be to score as many points as possible at each round. I know that in 2021 I was missing some speed compared to Herlings at times, and that’s a point we have worked on with Kevin Strijbos. If I regularly take good starts, like in the first moto at Hawkstone, I know what we are capable of this season. Let's go!

ADSS97 Kawasaki announces star-studded World Endurance Line Up!

UK-based World Endurance team ADSS97 Kawasaki is upping the ante for 2023, announcing an exciting new rider line up of Chris Walker, Levi Day, Chris Platt and Craig Currie. All four riders will be competing on a freshly prepared Superstock spec Ninja ZX-10R.

2023 will mark a big step forward for the ADSS97 Kawasaki team. After several seasons competing in the Endurance World Championship Superstock class, the squad are now setting their sights on success with its strongest line up to date.

Spearheading the effort is Kawasaki legend Chris Walker, who will be returning to the competitive world of endurance racing for the first time in over two decades.  Joining him on the Ninja ZX-10R will be Australian rider Levi Day, who has enjoyed great success in the National Superstock class in the UK. Team owner and experienced rider Chris Platt completes the team, having ridden Kawasaki machinery in both the British and World Endurance Championships. Craig Currie is on hand as reserve rider for the season as well as competing on three wheels in the World Sidecar Championship and Isle of Man TT.

The ADSS97 Kawasaki team truck will also be the K-Tech Suspension Service Centre for the entire EWC Paddock.

Chris Walker:
“What an opportunity! To race within a team full of my pals on a proven bike, the ADSS97 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R, and at the Le Mans 24hr again after a 24-year gap is mega! I had always hoped my career would head me back in the direction of endurance racing as it reached its latter years, having enjoyed it so much in the past, but it didn’t quite pan out. A few years in Sidecars and TriOptions Cup, coupled with old age and obesity, sent me down a different path, so I’ve been Zip testing for RST for a while now, but the chance to go and ride the 24hr EWC series in the stock class is something I couldn’t turn down. So with the help of a few of my old sponsors coming along and supporting the team, I’m back on track, back on a Kwak, back to Le Mans and back on a racers regime of training and eating properly. Testing starts in Spain in a matter of Days, and I can’t wait!”

Levi Day:
“I’m really looking forward to the Endurance World Championship this year, and it’s something I’ve been keen to get into over the last few years. I’ve had the pleasure of doing Suzuka and an eight hour at Estoril a few years ago, so doing the three 24-hour races this year really excites me! It will be something very different to what I’m used to, but I will be working hard to do the best for the team, and I’m looking forward to teaming up with Chris Platt and Chris Walker on the ZX-10R and working together with the team to do our very best. There is a great crew involved, and I’m excited to get going!”

Chris Platt:

“I’ve competed in all sorts of racing, but I have to say that Endurance is one of the friendliest and most supportive paddocks. After cutting our teeth with the UK No Limits Endurance series, we stepped into the EWC paddock in 2021 and have now raced four 24hr races with a 100% success rate! For 2023, with new bikes, the backing of K-Tech Suspension, a strong team structure and new riders with a great mixture of youth and experience, we’re taking the next step, and I can’t wait to get going!”

Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK:
“The ADSS97 Kawasaki team have gone from strength to strength over the past few seasons, and we have been watching their progress closely. With a very strong rider line up this year, we are sure they will do a great job on the very competitive world stage.”

2023 Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR focus on street appeal and racing success

Kawasaki is mounting a full-throttle approach to the 2023 sales season with a newly updated Ninja ZX-10R plus a radical tech change to the WorldSBK race and title winning Ninja ZX-10RR.

For the Ninja ZX-10R model so loved by both street riders and track day enthusiasts, many of the most recent updates remain in place with an impressive maximum power of 149.3 kW {203PS} available that is boosted to 156.8 kW {213PS} with the aid of Kawasaki’s world-famous Ram Air.

In terms of aerodynamics and WorldSBK derived technology, the ZX-10R retains its integrated winglets for increased downforce and cornering precision while the Kawasaki Racing Team developed air-cooled oil-cooler also remains in place.

An array of electronic rider aids – thanks to the integration of a Bosch IMU – cover all aspects of machine control including cornering management, S-KTRC sport traction control, launch control, integrated braking plus engine brake control and selectable power modes and an up-down quick shifter and electronic cruise control. Riders can also link their Smartphone to the colour TFT meter using Kawasaki ‘s own Rideology App.

With an engine that includes finger follower valve actuation (tech shared with the KX450 motocross machine), the Ninja ZX-10R rider can rely on the smoothness and accuracy of electronic throttle valves while riding feedback and racer-like precision is delivered thanks to SHOWA’s BFF (Balance Free Front Fork) up front while rear suspension duties are covered by Horizontal Back-link Rear Suspension with Showa BFRC lite (Balance Free Rear Cushion).

For racers and race teams, the Ninja ZX-10RR has been a point of focus since its introduction and the big news for 2023 is the VAI or Variable Air Intake system. Fitted inside the airbox, the VAI system uses a set of movable intake funnels to alter the intake funnel height.  When the VAI funnels are raised, intake air bypasses the system for optimal high-rpm performance; when lowered, intake air passes through the taller intake funnels, for increased low-mid range performance.  Movement of the funnels is regulated by servos to maximise output at all rpm.

As standard, the new ZX-10RR has the funnels set in a static upper position and for many riders this will be all they require. However, for racers competing in National and International Championships, the VAI system will be another welcome addition to the Ninja ZX-10RR spec that also includes Pankl precision engine parts, a higher rev limit than the standard Ninja ZX-10R and unique Marchesini wheels.

To activate the VAI feature, racing customers will require certain racing kit parts including a race-kit ECU, loom and sub-controller.  VAI is not activated as standard and is not available for those who wish to own and use a Ninja ZX-10RR on public roads.

Both the Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR look to 2023 with optimism, the road machine with its legendary personality and edge, while the ZX-10RR in the hands of KRT and other skilled riders seeks to make the racing top spot its own once again.

Kawasaki to introduce Ninja ZX-4R four-cylinder Supersport

Kawasaki Motors Corporation has announced that it will launch a mid-weight, high performance machine in its famous Ninja range to be called the Ninja ZX-4R. Incorporating a newly designed engine and frame, the exciting new addition to Kawasaki’s Supersports line will also include Ninja ZX-4R SE and Ninja ZX-4RR variants in countries where they are introduced in February 2023 and thereafter. The model is expected in Europe in the Autumn of 2023.

With specifications varying by market, the most powerful Ninja ZX-4R is equipped with a high-output engine that delivers an exceptional 80 PS in a lightweight, compact Ninja ZX-25R-based chassis for superior cornering performance and acceleration feeling. At its introduction, the Ninja ZX will be the only full-fairing supersport model in the 400cc class with a parallel four-cylinder engine. It inherits the aggressive appearance and premium equipment expected of the Ninja ZX family while refining the sensation-provoking exhaust sound of the high-revving four-cylinder engine.

Whether a seasoned rider or new to the joys of Supersport, Ninja ZX-4R riders will experience the exciting riding pleasure of the “APEX PREDATOR” concept on the racetrack or on the street.

At the heart of this immediately impressive machine is a newly developed 399cc liquid-cooled, parallel 4-cylinder DOHC engine based on technology from Kawasaki's legendary Ninja ZX series of supersport machines, which is able to deliver a maximum output of 57 kW (77 PS) and 59 kW (80 PS) when ram air is pressurized*. The engine has been conceived to combine strong low- and mid-range torque with strong power at high rpm and in all riding situations, from daily use to on-track sport riding.

Equipped with Kawasaki’s world-famous Ram Air system that increases filling efficiency and contributes to improved engine performance, the air intake is located in the centre of the upper cowl, providing styling that is instantly recognisable as part of the Ninja ZX series. The Ram Air ducts are located on the left side of the front forks, leading to the airbox while the “Ram Air” stamping is visible to the rider to show off the performance of the Ram Air system. The ultra high-revving engine, which revs above 15,000 rpm, delivers the exhilarating exhaust sound that only a Kawasaki high-performance parallel four-cylinder engine can deliver.

In terms of chassis, the configuration is focused on excellent handling performance and is inspired by the chassis elements and design concept of the Ninja ZX-10RR World Superbike. Featuring a high-tensile steel trellis frame and a curved long-type swingarm, the frame achieves an idealised front-rear weight distribution plus an excellent balance of rigidity and flexibility, providing nimble handling and great rider feedback.

Showa's advanced SFF-BP front fork (Ninja ZX-4R SE and Ninja ZX-4RR models feature a preload adjustment mechanism) is featured with the rear equipped with a horizontal back-link rear suspension system offering the same progressive characteristics of the Ninja ZX-10R supersport model, contributing to the superb handling performance typical of supersport models. Additionally, the Ninja ZX-4RR variant features the same type of Showa BFRC-lite rear shock as the Ninja ZX-10R.

Braking power is delivered via f290mm semi-floating front twin discs and radial-mounted monobloc calipers, while the rear uses a large-diameter f220mm disc. The overall package delivers powerful braking force and excellent brake feel, response and power. In terms of braking effectiveness and grip, the F120/R160 tyre combination adopted is designed to match the Ninja ZX-4R's dynamic performance and provide excellent stability at high speeds.

At first sight there is no mistaking the lines of this new Ninja with its aggressive styling that exudes the power and instantaneous force that the Ninja ZX series is known for. The Ninja ZX-4R's high-grade appearance is also enhanced by the use of LEDs for all lighting, from the twin-light headlight to the taillight.

Electronic rider aids also feature prominently on this latest Ninja with integrated riding modes that link KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) and Power Modes. From four different modes – Sport, Road, Rain, and Rider (Manual), the rider can easily select the appropriate setting to suit the riding conditions and his or her own riding style. Also fitted to the Ninja ZX-4R SE and Ninja ZX-4RR is a dual direction KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter) enabling clutchless shifting up/down.

The meter panel of the Ninja ZX-4R is equipped with a 4.3-inch full-digital colour LCD screen providing high visibility and a premium feel. It integrates a track mode that displays lap times, gear positions, and RPMs from 10,000 rpm and above in an easy-to-read manner. The Kawasaki RIDEOLOGY application can be used to connect to a Smartphone for a variety of functions, including recording GPS route information and vehicle riding information.

In addition to the Ninja ZX-4R, the following two variants are available:

Kawasaki – Have Bag Will Travel

If you made a new year resolution to take no personal baggage into 2023 you are out of luck, Kawasaki has just launched an expanded range of desirable high-quality luggage for the new season, and it covers all the bases.

From backpacks to trolley bags all the way up to a bag large enough to carry an entire set of riding gear, the range comprises six items for the new season with no less than three bags making their debuts.

A 20l capacity sports backpack is first in line complete with lap top pocket, Kawasaki Rivermark logo and even Kawasaki branded zip pullers. Like most partner bags in the range, the dominant colour is black with subtle and effective lime green and white highlights.

Also new is a highly adaptable Canvas bag with both shoulder straps and carry handles that features a convenient padded base so delicate items are cushioned when you put the 27l capacity bag down. To close, the bag features an eyelet and chord hook fastener system further increasing its urban chic credentials.

From respected luggage maker Ogio there are four Kawasaki branded items to complete the 2023 range. For all weather riders and “outdoorsy” types, the waterproof backpack is a boon. Created in welded 420D nylon with a TPU film laminate, its main job in life is keeping your gear dry with the much favoured roll top closing plus three water resistant outer pockets and a capacity of 26l.

This is partnered by an Ogio backpack that can accommodate a large laptop (up to 17inches or 43.2cm) and an overall 40l capacity. It’s also worth noting that many items in the 2023 range comply with airline carry on regulations so check when you book and make your travelling life faster and easier.

And for frequent flyers in the check-in queue, the Ogio trolley bag takes up to 50l. With its telescopic pull handle, integrated wheels and reinforced contact points, this subtle black bag with white Kawasaki logo is classy and practical in equal measure.

Speaking of flights, last off the luggage carousel is the Kawasaki Ogio gear bag featuring SLED technology which stands for Structural Load Equalising Deck. Big rubber tyred wheels mean business and the telescopic pull handle is well up to the job of manoeuvring a “that’s it I’m off to a foreign track day” gear bag that can cope with a humungous 123l load.

It’s a fact of life – if you have stuff, you need a bag and Kawasaki have just about the most practical, durable, and fashionable branded range ready for you at your local dealer or to order from selected on-line outlets. So, make a new year resolution you are happy to keep, travel in style in 2023 with Kawasaki.

Join KRT and dress for success in 2023

2023 testing for the Kawasaki Racing Team has begun and to signify a new start and a new challenge, the riders and staff of KRT have adopted a brand-new clothing style which will also be available from Kawasaki dealers.

Echoing the colour and graphic treatment of the 2023 Ninja ZX-10R in dealer showrooms, both Jonathan Rea and Alex Lowes – plus the entire KRT factory superbike racing family – will sport predominantly black and lime green clothing, as expected, yet with the subtle details and design touches expected of a multiple World Championship winning team.

With garments created and styled for both male and female race fans, there are also some mini items for future champions to show mum, dad and the whole world who they support.

In terms of outer wear – and let’s face it, a little rain must fall sometimes – the water-resistant padded jacket features a detachable hood, zipped inner and outer pockets plus internal sleeve cuff. With taped seams, a horizontal quilted thermal lining, internal stretch cuffs and Kawasaki racing sponsor logo’s this jacket is a must have trackside at wet or cold race events.

Also water-resistant is the padded body warmer. Sharing the same taped seam technology with the padded jacket, it also features a quilted thermal lining, zipped pockets plus Kawasaki racing sponsor logo’s and is available – like all male cut clothing – in a range of sizes from S to 3XL.No sport or leisure clothing range could be complete without a T shirt and, duly, the 2023 offering includes a short-sleeved crew neck T-shirt in Kawasaki WSBK team-colours resplendent in Kawasaki racing and sponsor logo’s and created from a single knit fabric with a 50/50 Cotton, Polyester mix.

Moving away from the male torso; there are two lower body clothing options available for men in 2023, a long leg Cargo style trouser and Bermuda shorts for those days when legs simply must be on display. Both styles have Zipped front pockets and feature Cargo style leg pockets plus flapped back pocket and sponsor logos. Again, these are available in male cut sizes from S to 3XL.For women the zipped KRT sweatshirt is going to be one of the most in-demand items sharing its colour way and detailing with the male version but benefiting from a style and cut focused on the female form.  And when the sun makes a welcome appearance, the rounded neck t-shirt is going to be essential wear created in an easy care 50/50 cotton and polyester mix. Like the female cut sweatshirt it is available for 2023 in a size range between S and XL.

Kids are future bikers, so they are not forgotten in the new KRT clothing range with a zipped sweatshirt available displaying a Ninja ZX-10R logo just like the adult apparel plus sponsor logos and the same attention to detail. A partner T shirt for kids is also available and both items are sized according to age in six possibilities from 2 years old to sub-teen 12-year-old fans.

Not forgetting the crowning glory, of course a uni-sex cap is part of the range featuring the KRT “River Mark” emblem plus primary sponsor Monster logo as well as a beanie plus practical and adaptable branded neck tube.

The Kawasaki Racing Team are dressing for success in 2023 and now you can join them and show your true colours with the new range of genuine Kawasaki race team clothing.

Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki sign Max Cook for the 2023 British Superbike season

The Official Kawasaki-supported Bennetts British Superbike Championship team, Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki, is excited to confirm its full rider line up for the 2023 season, with reigning Junior Superstock Champion Max Cook joining Lee Jackson on the proven Ninja ZX-10RR Superbike.

The move into the premier class is going to be a big step for the 19-year-old, who will become one of the youngest riders in the highly competitive series. However, the Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki team have a proven pedigree in helping young riders take the next step in their career, as they proved with Rory Skinner in recent years.

To ensure that Max is able to line up on the grid for round one in the best possible shape, the team has created a comprehensive winter testing programme designed to help him get to grips with the powerful 1,000cc Ninja ZX-10RR. Max is also undertaking an extensive fitness programme over the off-season to ensure that he will be ready for the demands of Superbike racing when the season gets underway on April 7th at Silverstone.

The UK’s largest manufacturer of wood mouldings and stair parts, Cheshire Mouldings, is returning as title sponsor for the team. First partnering with the FS-3 Racing team last year, Cheshire Mouldings are a recognised name within the world of motorcycling racing, sponsoring the Kawasaki Racing Team in World Superbikes and various riders and teams within the British Superbike paddock.

Max Cook:

“This is a dream come true for me. Firstly, I would like to thank Nigel and Darren for supporting me for six years and now, to finally be their rider is so surreal! Nigel has supported me throughout my years at Red Bull Rookies Cup, Moto3 Junior World Championship and most recently, winning the Junior Superstock 600 championship, so he knows what I can do on a bike.

Of course, this is a big step for me, but I feel like I am totally ready for the challenge and looking forward to showing people what I can do. To have Lee Jackson as my teammate is amazing. We all know he is very fast, and he is someone that I have always looked up to, so I can’t wait to soak up his knowledge. I have already had a taste for the superbike in early October, and I’m very excited to give it the beans in a proper run out in winter testing!”

Nigel Snook, Team Manager of Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki:

“We’ve been supporting Max for six years and have been really impressed with his progress. He’s served his apprenticeship winning the BSB Moto 3 championship in 2017, then progressing through the British Talent Cup, Red Bull Rookies and the Junior World Championship. His talent really shone through this year as he dominated the Junior Superstock Championship and made a very impressive Supersport debut at the final round at Brands Hatch.

As a team, we pride ourselves on actively supporting young talented riders, so the decision to promote Max to ride alongside Lee Jackson fitted perfectly with our philosophy. As a front-running BSB team, it’s easy to overlook a long-term development plan in return for instant results. We believe every team in the paddock has the responsibility to nurture young talent to keep British riders at the forefront of world racing and show everyone that the British Superbike Championship is the strongest domestic championship in the world. Just coming up to his 20th birthday, Max will certainly have his work cut out getting used to the raw power of a superbike, but we’ve got a full testing plan in place for him over the winter, and he’s very excited to get going. Based on his previous experience, we don’t think it will be too long before he surprises a few people.’’

Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK:

“Nigel and Darren are very much in line with the Team Green philosophy, and we are excited to see what they and Max can do in 2023. After successfully developing Rory Skinner with him ultimately ending up in Moto 2 next year, we know they have the credentials to work with young riders. Max is a supreme talent, we have all seen that already, but now it’s time for him to make his biggest step yet. We are confident for an exciting and strong season.”

Bradley Perie to make British Superbike debut with Lee Hardy Racing

British Supersport sensation Bradley Perie will make his Bennetts British Superbike Championship debut in 2023, signing with the proven Lee Hardy Racing team to compete on a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR.

After a turbulent 2022, the team is looking to regroup for next season and build an updated and advanced version of the Ninja ZX-10RR. This will ensure that multiple-Supersport race winner Bradley will have the best possible start to his career in the highly competitive series.

However, stepping up from a 600cc machine to 1000cc is a big switch. That is why alongside the team working hard on advancing the Superbike, Bradley is fully focused on working on his fitness over the winter months to prepare for the challenges the larger capacity machine brings.

Bradley Perie:

“I’m grateful and excited to be making my debut Superbike season with the renowned Lee Hardy Racing team, onboard the proven Kawasaki ZX-10RR along with the Team Green family. It’s a dream come true so I can’t wait to get the ball rolling with the first test in 2023.”

Lee Hardy, Team Principal:

“I’m very excited to announce our new signing Bradley and particularly keen to secure Bradley for not only 2023 but it’s also important to retain Bradley for a second season. This opportunity will give Bradley a stable situation to learn the Kawasaki ZX-10RR Superbike without the pressure of having to try and succeed in year one.

Bradley is a complete rookie to the Superbike championship however he has shown me great potential and certainly is a rider that has caught my eye. It is so nice to revert back to the roots of Lee Hardy Racing and give young talent an opportunity to develop and hopefully succeed within the BSB championship.

There are many things you need to consider as a team owner when you are looking at a new venture, one thing that definitely helped me make my decision was the opening up of the Spanish testing again. This is a great opportunity for Bradley to throw his leg over the 2023 Kawasaki ZX-10RR and complete many laps in a relaxed environment, it's not just about learning the bike, this will also give Bradley the chance to understand his new crew and get comfortable working with a new team.”

Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK:
“Lee runs a great outfit that has not just lots of experience with the ZX-10RR machine but also with developing young talent, almost taking Jake Dixon to Championship glory in 2018. We have every faith that Bradley and the team will click from the off, and maximum effort will be put in from all sides to ensure a smooth and successful transition from Supersport to Superbike for Bradley. It’s important that teams start to give young up-and-coming riders a chance in Superbike, and with Lee doing just that, we are right behind him.”

DAO Racing Kawasaki expands to Pirelli Superstock 1000 class

After another strong season on the roads, which saw multiple podiums at the Isle of Man TT, the DAO Racing Kawasaki team will again return as the official Kawasaki UK Road Racing Team for 2023 with Dean Harrison. The Kirby Lonsdale-based team will also expand their efforts into the competitive Pirelli National Superstock 1000 class with new signing Brayden Elliott.

Australian rider Brayden will join the DAO Racing team, ready to build on a fantastic 2022 season in the National Superstock class. Finishing fourth overall, taking one victory and a further three podiums, the 27-year-old will make the switch to the Ninja ZX-10RR for next year, setting his sights firmly on challenging for the title.

Bradford’s Dean Harrison will remain with the team for next season, again competing in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship to ensure he remains sharp and ‘bike fit’ ready for the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT in May.

As the official Kawasaki UK Road Racing Team, the DAO Racing squad will be receiving factory support from Kawasaki in Japan, helping them to continue the development of the Superbike and allowing them to push for a repeat success of the memorable Senior TT win in 2019.

Jonny Bagnall, DAO Racing Kawasaki Team Manager:
“Whilst our main focus always has been the roads, we are enjoying competing in a full season of British Superbike racing. It really does benefit Dean on the roads, but we also want to be as competitive as possible on the short circuits too. Having Brayden join us on the Superstock bike is really exciting as we will be pushing hard for the title in that class whilst at the same time developing the Superstock machine for Dean on the roads. We can’t wait to get going!”

Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK:

“After several successful seasons on the roads, we are pleased to continue with DAO Racing as our official Road Racing team and excited to see them expand to the Superstock 1000 class! Brayden is a talented rider with a passion for success, and we hope that the combination of Brayden, the team and our Ninja ZX-10RR will bring that success we all strive for in 2023! With an even stronger Superbike for Dean, too, we believe that he will be well-positioned to fight for top honours on the roads next season. It can’t come soon enough!”

Kawasaki UK expands partnership with MSS Performance for 2023

After a long and successful history working with MSS Performance, including the last six years as the official Team Green Technical Partner, Kawasaki UK is excited to be strengthening that partnership further in 2023.

First connecting back in 1982 when MSS raced a GPZ1100 at Bemsee Club Racing, the pairing between Kawasaki and MSS has continued to grow over the years. Six years ago, Team Green appointed MSS Performance as its official Technical Partner, seeing them support everyone from British Superbike and Isle of Man TT riders to club racers and even trackday enthusiasts.

2023 will now see MSS Performance adding even more race parts to their inventory, allowing them to create bespoke and higher-spec race packages for riders across the UK. Unveiled on the opening day at Motorcycle Live, visitors to the show will be able to see a full race-spec Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja 400 on the Kawasaki stand. Interested riders and teams will also be able to meet the MSS team throughout the nine-day event or contact them by visiting https://www.mssperformance.com/.

Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK:

“We are really pleased to be able to take our partnership with Nick and the MSS team to the next level. I first began working with the team when they were our official British Superbike squad, and since then, we have had many successful years working together.

For 2023, this strengthened relationship will allow even more riders to join the Team Green family, and I think everyone can agree that the two display bikes on our stand look fantastic!”

Nick Morgan, MSS Performance:

“2023 sees us enter into our sixth year as Team Green Technical Partners, which we are extremely proud of. It has been a fantastic opportunity for MSS to assist riders of all levels across the proven Ninja 400, ZX-6R and formidable ZX-10RR race bikes. Our passion for Kawasaki started over 40 years ago, and remains as strong as ever!

We are really looking forward to being able to offer riders even more for 2023 and cannot wait for the start of next season and then many more after that.”
